ENDURO2 MERIBEL
6TH EDITION :
Three days of alpine enduro, adventure and racing as a team of two
FRANCE – SAVOIE // 22-24 AUGUST 2026
From 22 to 24 August 2026, Enduro2 returns to Méribel, in the heart of the 3 Vallées, for three days of mountain biking that combine racing, exploration and a unique spirit of camaraderie.
ENDURO2, WHAT’S THAT?
An Enduro, raced entirely in teams of two, over three days, with heavy use of ski-lifts to access both natural singletrack and bike-park stages.
We’re all familiar with this versatile mountain bike race format “Enduro”, which alternates between non-timed climbs and timed downhill stages. It’s a format that appeals because it’s fun and friendly, where everyone can meet up, wait for each other and chat between timed runs.
Enduro2 takes this conviviality and comeraderie to the next level, since even the timed stages are no longer done alone…but together with your favourite race buddy!
Generally considered ‘The Original’ Pairs-Format Enduro Race, Enduro2 first launched in Les Arcs, France back in 2015 and has since delivered good times and high fives to thousands of riders at world-class locations including Davos, Switzerland and even as far as Nelson, New Zealand.
THE BUZZ OF A GOOD RIDE IS BETTER WHEN SHARED
ONE TIME, ONE NUMBER, FOR TWO RIDERS
The rules are simple: one race number and one timing chip per team, with the obligation to start and finish each stage together, as a DUO!
So choose your team-mate carefully, and make sure he/she is riding at a similar pace (or one of you is happy to adjust your speed to match your team-mate) so you can enjoy the whole race together, wheel-on-wheel, to the very end of each epic stage !
Of course, you can help each other out: a common strategy adopted by teams is either to place the fastest team-mate second so that he can encourage his friend to go faster, or in front to show him the best lines to take!
In short: it’s not just more fun, it’s also the ideal way for buddies and partners to make progress in both confidence, and pace.
AND WHO IS IT FOR
All thrill-seekers, equipped with a good mountain bike (or ebike) and a technical and physical level that’s good enough to take on some pretty long and challenging descents!
The Enduro2 podium is always hotly contested, but our focus is never about the Pro riders. In fact, many Enduro2 ‘racers’ have never even raced before in a normal Enduro race. The format is relaxed – you start each timed stage when you want, and only when you are ready. And we have no problem if you need to get off and walk a tricky setion – you won’t be the only one, that’s for sure!
400 lucky participants from 26 nationalities are expected at the start, with many from the UK, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, and of course… FRANCE!
We get the concept, what about the programme ?
The event is spread over 4 days, with 3 big days of racing
Friday is reserved for welcoming participants and collecting race numbers, followed in the evening by festive and sporting entertainment, before the pre-race briefing.
The real race then takes place from Saturday to Monday. During which the participants will battle it out over some fifteen timed special stages, for a total on-stage time varying between 2 hours for the first and up to 4 hours for the last! The Monday course finishes early, in time to get the party started – or for those short on time, to return home just in time to return to the real world and be back at your office desk on Tuesday morning.
3 HUGE DAYS OF RACING
An Enduro2 can’t be organised just anywhere. We have to find an area offering enough interesting tracks for three days of riding, and of course, it’s out of the question to use the same track twice, even for reconnaissance: here everything is about “blind-racing” !
The organisers work hard to find the best single-track available in the host resort, favouring small natural tracks over large artificial ones, but of course they reserve the right to throw in a few of the Bike Park’s best creations as well! And while most of the trails are accessible via the ski-lifts, a little extra effort may be required on the pedals to find those backcountry gems.
On the programme for each venue: around fifteen stages, for a total descent of around 12,000m, (-3000 to -5000m per day). In contrast, uphill effort is typically limited to only 200m to 500m per day. That’s a damned good pedal-to-party ratio, if you ask us!
DAY 1 // Saturday
The opening day takes riders high into the mountains before sending them on a spectacular journey towards Brides-les-Bains.
The route combines high-alpine stages with flowing trails in the Belleville Bike Park before dropping onto longer, more technical natural descents. Riders will tackle rocky sections, switchbacks and forest trails as they make their way down the valley.
The day’s highlight is the journey to Brides-les-Bains, where riders will stop for lunch in the town’s beautiful park. For Long Course competitors, the adventure continues with a demanding descent on a former Downhill World Cup track before the final return towards Méribel.
Saturday is a true alpine journey — from high mountain ridges to the valley floor.
DAY 2 // Sunday
Sunday offers another full day of varied terrain, beginning with fast and flowing trails before moving onto more technical natural singletracks.
The La Loyale stage takes riders through alpine meadows and forests, with rocks, roots, off-camber sections and tight switchbacks providing a serious technical challenge.
For Long Course riders, the second half of the day heads back towards the Méribel ridges, where an open alpine descent offers spectacular views towards Mont Blanc. The final stage is one of the weekend’s biggest: a long natural forest descent combining rocks, roots and loose terrain over almost 870 metres of vertical loss.
The finish once again takes riders towards Brides-les-Bains, where the day’s racing will be followed by an Enduro2 aperitif and live music in the park.
DAY 3 // Monday
The final day brings a mix of fast bike-park riding, natural trails and a few of the event’s favourite sections.
Long Course riders will head into higher terrain before tackling a returning Enduro2 classic — a natural trail that is back on the programme in 2026 after being closed last year following storm damage.
A final fast forest stage then brings the mountain racing to a close before the event moves into Méribel for its iconic finale.
The Enduro2 Street Race transforms the streets of Méribel into the final stage of the weekend. Riders will face stairs, chicanes and physical sections before finishing in front of Jacks Bar, surrounded by spectators and fellow competitors.
The day concludes with the podium ceremony and Enduro2 after-party, complete with a DJ set.
THE ONLY TIME THAT COUNTS, IS HAVING A GOOD TIME
Not everyone wants to race against the clock — and not everyone has a teammate.
For 2026, Enduro2 introduces Enduro2 Explorer, a solo, untimed format allowing riders to discover the same incredible alpine environment without the pressure of competition.
Explorer is about riding at your own pace, discovering new trails and enjoying the mountains and the Enduro2 atmosphere.
